Founded in 1989, the University of Cyprus is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Nicosia (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, University of Cyprus (UCY) is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 7,000-7,999 students) coeducational Cypriot higher education institution.
